This is a short survey for Soho residents to tell us about their experience of noise pollution in Soho and how it impacts on their ability to have healthy, restful sleep.

We will use the anonymised results in our discussions with Westminster City Council and in our evidence to the council’s licensing committees.

We will only share aggregate data not data that identifies you - if you make any long form comments please do not add data that identifies you individually to that part of your response.

There is clear medical evidence that adults need 8 hours sleep a night, children need more. Our working assumption is that means 11pm to 7am each day. We are concerned that the concentration of alcohol licences in Soho and the increase in crowds of people in the street, deliveries and waste collections often disturb sleep after 11 pm and before 7am. Disturbed sleep causes obesity, depression, high blood pressure and reduces childrens’ ability to learn. Let us know your experience.
